MARA RUDNICK
3D Scanning/Imagery & Motion | Based in Düsseldorf, Germany
I’m a 3D scanning artist exploring how identity feels in a world shaped by algorithms. Using this technology, I create fragmented representations of people and objects — distortions that go beyond surface error to question perception, presence, and the fragility of self in digital systems.
I’m less interested in creating virtual realities than in how digital processes reshape our view of the physical world and of ourselves. Thematically, my work explores alienation, memory, and the tension between visibility and misunderstanding.
Fashion often acts as a starting point — not as style, but as a language tied to body perception and identity. My focus lies in how our digital environment alters these perceptions, and how that shift manifests in our lived, actual world.
